Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a 24cm round cake pan with grease proof paper.

Place Dr. Oetker Nona Sponge Cake Chocolate, eggs and water in a mixing bowl. Mix at high speed for 6 minutes.

Add in butter and mix at low speed for 1 minute or until batter is light and fluffy.

Pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake at 180˚C for 55 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack, and then cut into 3 layers.

Beat 300g of whipping cream until stiff peak form.

Place the first cake on a serving plate and spread a layer of cream evenly. Repeat with the second cake and finally place the third cake on top. Cover the reminder of the cream over the top and sides of the cake.

For the honeycomb, colour the fondant heavily in yellow and orange as desired and roll out into 2 mm thick sheets. Using a spatula, cut out hexagons and stick onto the sides of the cake in a honeycomb pattern. Stick on the bees and serve the cake. nd sides of the cake, using a small palette knife for structuring.
